I made a free 8 people limit server and I can connect to it fine and everything is set up, I made a few channels and I have full admin powers but when I give the IP and port to my friends all the get is “Contacting server” forever and they cannot connect. I tried giving them the WAN IP and the LAN IP and nothing is working.

If you have a firewall or using a router, make sure you open the port that you’re hosting Ventrilo out of. Also, make sure that you are giving out your actual IP address. Anything that is 192.168.1.x etc. is going to be the IP your router assigns. You need the IP that your router is using and it must forward the one port to your specific computer IP.
